Three Paint Cup options

Paint stand layouts and creating your own

Use a ready-made paint stand layout or shape your own in the slicer. The videos below show how simple it is.

Extending your Caddy

Extend your Caddy stand with new sections that fit seamlessly together, joined using Extension Bridges. Your build plate is not the limit to Caddy size.

Full printing, assembly and system guidance can be found in the Instruction & Quick Start Guide PDF.

Adjustable Paint Bottle Fit

Paint Bottles diameters differ slightly between ranges, this is particularly true of Dropper Bottles. All Paint Cups feature an adjustable Bottle Cage to allow an equally good fit with smaller or larger bottles.

The Bottle Cage can be adjusted directly on the build plate - a design feature enabled by 3D printing. The short video below shows the process.

Paint Caddy FAQs

Is the Paint Caddy a paint stand?

Yes. The Paint Caddy is a modular paint stand, but with more flexibility than a fixed stand. Build it around the exact number of paints you need, group by paint type or range, extend it over time, and move it easily between shelves, desks, drawers and cupboards. It is versatile storage, that you build to fit your workflow.

Do I need a specific or large 3D printer?

No. The Paint Caddy is designed for standard FDM printers. Because the system is modular, even a small/mini build plate can be used to create large Caddy stand layouts.

Can I create my own bespoke layout?

Yes. Ready-made layouts are included, along with Base Plate Arrays for creating your own. Custom layouts can be made directly in your slicer software.

Can I extend the layout?

Yes. Extension Arrays and Extension Bridges allow large Caddy layouts to be built regardless of the size of your printer’s build plate. See the video above.

Further printing, assembly and system guidance can be found in the Instruction & Quick Start Guide PDF.

What is the adjustment range for the paint Cups?

Adjustment range depends on the Paint Caddy version. Dropper Bottle Cups cover bottle diameters from 23mm to 25.75mm. Citadel Cups cover pot diameters from around 31mm to 33mm. Tamiya Jars & Other 34–36mm Bottle Cups cover hobby bottles from 34mm to 36mm. Pro Acryl Cups are designed around 30mm Pro Acryl bottles, although they still can be adjusted between 28mm to 30.5mm

Can Base Plates be mixed between different Paint Caddy versions?

Yes. Base Plate parts from different Caddy versions can be joined and merged in your slicer to create bespoke layouts for mixed paint ranges. This allows one Caddy layout to hold different bottle, jar or pot sizes.

Are other paint bottle sizes supported?

The four Paint Caddy stand sizes are designed around Citadel flip-top pots, Dropper Bottles, Pro Acryl bottles, and Tamiya Jars & Other 34–36mm Bottles.

However, they are not limited to those brands. Any compatible bottle, jar or pot that fits within the relevant Caddy size can be used. This is especially useful with the Tamiya Jars & Other 34–36mm Bottles version, as many paints, inks, washes, pigments, panel liners and similar hobby products use bottles within that size range.

Is this product endorsed by Games Workshop, Tamiya, Pro Acryl or other paint brands?

No. PrintableMini.tools is an independent creator and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Games Workshop, Tamiya, Pro Acryl, Monument Hobbies or any other paint manufacturer.
