General FAQs

Why Launch products on Kickstarter?

Kickstarter helps build momentum and visibility while funding the next project in the pipeline. Because these are digital STL files, delivery happens shortly after each campaign ends — with no manufacturing delays or shipping waits.

Are these products real or just concepts?

All products already exist and are in regular use. Images on the site are all prints, not renders.

What’s ongoing is refinement  - preparing files, variants, building examples and creating instructions.

What do you mean by “Systems”?

Rather than single-purpose tools, many projects are built as parts-based systems. Each system includes a number of useful Set-designs that can be printed and immediately assembled, while the same parts can be combined into bespoke designs of your own.

Each product page explains how its system works, with guides and examples provided as each project gets closer to launch.

Are these projects difficult to print?

Printing itself is straightforward. Designs are optimised for FDM and supplied with recommended settings and guidance.

Set-designs come with parts listed and  instructions for assembly, these same parts can be used to create bespoke designs of your own, so complexity comes from planning your own build, not the printing itself — the tools scale with ambition, not technical difficulty.

Have the designs been tested?

Yes. Through constant use, some designs have evolved over years of use. Every design began for personal use and then later shared for feedback with fellow hobbyists.

Each design is built for real hobbyists, used and improved over time - I’m confident they’ll serve you well.
